Nanit – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

Ridiculously expensive for a camera that doesn’t work most of the times and asks you to pay even more for simple features!!! I am tired of seeing the troubleshoot option on my screen!not reliable at all.

Pay a ridiculous amount to then have to pay for a subscription to actually use normal features. What a joke

I'm not happy paying £200 odd pounds for a product that then expects you to subscribe. At that price the features should be as standard. Not looking forward to the prospect of having to contend with the other issues noted in this review. We've installed it now and we'll see how we get on, but I'm not particularly enamoured by the quality of the camera feed, which quite frankly should be better for the price. The app seems to be ok. We wanted a baby monitor and I thought we'd shell out for something given positive reviews, so I didn't come in with many expectations, but anything with a subscription is a con as far as I'm concerned. Gone are the days where you could buy an honest product and not be shafted by upselling once you've purchased the damn thing.

At first I thought this was a god send. I was able to sleep through the night knowing our newborn was breathing. Now we’re 16 months in and on our 2nd Nanit camera which is now also starting to fail. The 1st ended up having terrible connection issues after 6 months. Customer service was awful, they just gave me the run around and eventually sent a replacement camera. The replacement camera is now starting to lose connection all of the time and wakes me up multiple times in the night saying monitoring stopped and that baby isn’t in the crib. Baby is in the crib, they’ve just turned over and for some reason the Nanit is now unable to follow where they’ve moved to. The app is awful, incredibly slow and laggy. After 1 year they charge you to get any of the analytics, which seems pointless when it doesn’t connect and barely tracks anymore. I will be attempting to contact their useless customer services for a refund. If you want to spend hundreds on a piece of kit that will probably only work for a few months, this is for you.

Having had the nanit for 6 months now, I really couldn’t be without it. There are a few things that could improve it, like the app being a be it quicker, but it’s only when I’ve seen other monitors that I realise how spoilt I’ve been with the Nanit. I really love it. Worth the money!
