Titan Travel Tracking Order Status

Titan/Saga The taxi to Gatwick arrived on time. This, (the taxi service), is one of the major advantages of Saga/Titan. Unfortunately the experience at Istanbul was less than perfect. It’s an enormous airport and there were no reps at the exits that we all used. Eventually we found the rep by accident at several ‘gates’ beyond the initial exit gate. The tour of Turkey is a full-on , exhausting, experience covering over 1500km. The itinerary could be reduced (IMHO) by only visiting two mosques rather than three. Also Troy was somewhat disappointing as it’s largely rubble and needs a lot of imagination. Perhaps an hour is all that’s needed. I think the SAGA brochure should be a little more explicit re the times and distances involved for each day. Is “Mary’s House” really that important? It seemed a shrine for the vulnerable and gullible and more of a ‘marketing opportunity’ than a place based on empirical evidence. Some very interesting Byzantine/Roman ruins -well worth a visit! Antalya (last day) was picturesque and interesting. Most of us felt we could have done with more time there. (Even an extra day or two!) Hotels generally OK. The first two had fault air-con. The first hotel (The Kent) had outrageous prices for beer. Food was adequate in all the hotels rather than outstanding. Certainly lots of choice! None of the hotels served hot food on hot plates. This needs to be rectified. The best hotel was the Hilton. The guide was very knowledgeable (perhaps somewhat verbose) and did an excellent job in shepherding his flock. As he was not responsible for the itinerary he cannot be held responsible for any of the negative comments above.

Just to say that this was a booking experience that was really good and I want to say so as there have been negative reviews ( including 1 from me ) about the customer service with Titan. I spoke with three people today and all 3 calls went through quickly. Particular mention for Soni C who solved a problem efficiently for me.

Following my review of 13/ 05/23 regarding inability to book listed holidays, Titan contacted me at the first available opportunity and have already put things in place to help overcome the problem. First class customer service!

Amazing trip to Vietnam and Cambodia The tour information was very accurate and the tour lived up to and exceeded our expectations. The excursions were accurately described and were full on days. All the next day's excursions were explained to us the previous day - to prepare us for dressing accordingly and the length of day. Our Tour guide was very knowledgeable about Vietnam and it's history - and explained every temple, pagoda or attraction in detail. He was very organised and thorough in everything he did for us - even assisting with collecting our luggage at the airports. When in Cambodia we had a local tour guide there as well as our original one. Both were very knowledgeable in Cambodia and even the details in the carvings on the temples were explained to us. I have recommended this tour to friends.

We really enjoyed this tour starting in Singapore with the local guide who was very knowledgeable and funny so she made it very pleasurable. A highlight for me was the orchid gardens which were stunningly beautiful. Moving on to Malaysia was interesting as we had not been there before so were interested in finding out about the Country A highlight was seeing the orang-utans at close quarters. We had an unexpected experience in Kuala Lumpar when we were caught in a terrific prolonged thunderstorm, experiencing the loudest thunder in my life and sheet and fork lightning, within seconds the roads had turned into rivers but within a short time of ending the rain had dried up. The tour director was very helpful and lovely but we could have done with a bit more information on where local restaurants were In relation to the hotels. All in all a very good tour with lots of interesting different experiences.
